If treatment is suitable for you, we agree a plan together and review your progress regularly. The consultation is £20, refunded if you go ahead, and treatment starts from £89 a month.

Is it for me?
Who the service is for.
Adults aged 18 or over with a BMI of 30 or more, or 27 or more with a weight-related condition such as type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure. Your pharmacist checks your suitability at the consultation, and treatment is only supplied if it's safe and appropriate for you.
The NHS also offers weight-management support through your GP, and we're happy to talk those options through with you too.

Weight-loss medicines aren't suitable for everyone, and they work best alongside changes to diet and activity. Consultations are in person at 3 Brighton Hill Parade, and you can collect your treatment whenever we're open. Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm. We're closed on Sundays and bank holidays.

Who is eligible for the weight-loss service?
Adults aged 18 or over with a BMI of 30 or more, or 27 or more with a weight-related condition such as type 2 diabetes or high blood pressure. Your pharmacist confirms suitability at the consultation.
What happens at the consultation?
A private, face-to-face appointment of about 30 minutes. We go through your health, medicines and weight history, check your BMI and blood pressure, and if treatment is suitable, agree a plan with you.
Is there a consultation fee?
Yes, £20, which is refunded if you go on to start treatment. Treatment starts from £89 a month, and follow-up reviews are free.
Should I choose an injection or a tablet?
It depends on your health, your preferences and what's suitable for you, and your pharmacist will talk it through. Some people prefer a once-weekly injection; others would rather take a daily tablet. You can compare weekly injections and daily tablets on our clinic's site.
I'm already on treatment elsewhere. Can I switch to you?
Often, yes. Bring details of your current treatment and dose, and we'll check it's safe to continue with us. Read about switching your weight-loss treatment to us before you book.
Is the consultation confidential?
Completely. You'll see a pharmacist in our private consultation room, and all appointments are in person at our Basingstoke pharmacy.
How often will I be reviewed?
Regularly while you're on treatment, usually monthly. We check your progress, side effects and dose, and adjust your plan where needed. Follow-up reviews are free.
What are the common side effects?
The most common are stomach-related, such as feeling sick, diarrhoea or constipation, especially when you start or increase a dose. We'll explain what to expect, and you can contact us for advice at any time.
How quickly can I expect results?
Most people lose weight gradually. Around 1–2 kg a month is a realistic, sustainable pace when treatment is combined with changes to diet and activity. We'll set goals together at your first appointment.
Can I get weight-loss treatment on the NHS?
The NHS offers weight-management support, and some people are prescribed weight-loss medicines through NHS services after a GP referral. Ask your GP what's available to you.
Can I collect my treatment on a Saturday?
Yes. Once it's ready, you can collect it whenever we're open, including Saturdays from 9am to 5pm.
