Which COVID vaccine do you use?
We use the NHS-supplied seasonal vaccine recommended for this autumn. Your pharmacist will tell you which one you're having before your jab.
Can I have it with my flu jab?
Yes. If you're eligible for both, we can administer them in the same appointment (one in each arm) — saves you a trip.
I've had COVID recently — when can I have my booster?
Generally wait at least 4 weeks after recovery. We can advise based on your situation when you book.
What side effects should I expect?
Common: sore arm, mild fatigue, headache for 24–48 hours. Serious reactions are rare. Let us know if you'd like to wait in the pharmacy for a few minutes afterwards.
What if I'm not eligible — can I pay?
Yes. If you don't qualify for an NHS COVID-19 jab, we offer a private vaccination from £100 — same appointment, same vaccine.
Who can get a free COVID-19 vaccine this autumn?
People aged 75 or over (including those turning 75 by 31 January 2027), residents of care homes for older adults, and people with a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment.
When does the autumn programme end?
The NHS offers the vaccine until 31 January 2027, so it's best to have it as soon as you can.
